This Privacy Policy explains what information ARIF.today collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect only what's needed to run the Platform well.
Account information: name, email address, and a securely hashed password.
Profile information you choose to add: bio, phone, location, social links, and avatar colour.
Transaction information: purchase and payout history. Full payment card details are handled entirely by Stripe and PayPal — we never see or store your card number.
Usage information: books you've purchased, wishlisted, or read, used to power your shelf, recommendations, and publisher analytics.
We use your information to operate your account, process purchases and payouts, send you service-related notifications (such as order confirmations or publisher review decisions), and improve the Platform. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
We share information only where necessary:
• With Stripe and PayPal to process payments and payouts.
• With publishers, in aggregate/anonymised form, for sales analytics on their own titles.
• If required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of ARIF.today or our users.
We use a session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use third-party advertising trackers on the Platform.
We retain account and transaction data for as long as your account is active, and as needed to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations after closure.
You can view and update most of your profile information directly from your dashboard. To request a copy of your data, a correction, or full account deletion, contact us and we'll respond within a reasonable timeframe.
Passwords are stored using industry-standard hashing. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, though no system is ever 100% secure.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above.
